Your first steps on the ground: Secure accommodation before or upon arrival · Buy a Norwegian SIM card (Telenor or Telia) · Report to police / SUA within 7 days — residence card & ID check · Get your D-number or national identity number (Skatteetaten) · Apply for your tax deduction card (skattekort) — mandatory to get paid · Register your Norwegian address in the National Population Register.
